Okay, so I know this may upset a few of the backers.
However, as both a pre-alpha backer who would like to spend time with the family over the holidays and as a backer who doesn't want the Dev team not getting to spend time with THEIR family over the holidays, I would like to ask that we postpone the Pre-Alpha until after the holidays.
I think it will be more beneficial for everyone. The Dev team gets to spend more time with their family, and a couple extra weeks to clean up bugs. Pre-Alpha testers do not have to split their time with the pre-alpha and family(Which speaking from greed, we did pay extra money to get to actually help test the game before others, not be torn between family and a game). And the other backers then get a more polished game in their respective testing phases as well.
All in all, I think the postponed dates we just bad timing, and delaying a couple weeks to avoid the holidays should not hurt anyone's feelings. If anything, it should give backers more respect for the Devs who, if they agree to delay, would be taking our family time into consideration.
* Pre-Alpha Backers get to spend more time with family and not freetting over missing the Pre-Alpha window.
* Devs get to spend more time with their family and not working through the holidays.
* The delay gives the devs more time to squash a few extra bugs, which makes the game better for everyone.
* More people will then get to join in on the Pre-Alpha which means a better testing phase for Alpha and below backers.
Let's be real. If you get your feelings hurt over another couple weeks, chances are you are not a Pre-Alpha backer who would have to miss out on family time over a game.
